Roads & Drainage

We have received funding under the Sustainable Service Delivery Lifecycle (SSD) Program to upgrade roads and drainage systems in Grise Fiord, in large part based on a study that was done by Tetra Tech in 2021.

Many of the requirements are still current.

Each spring clogged culverts mean that melting glacial water, and other snow melt, result is damaging water flows across our roads, and this can become quite severe.

We will undertake the initial work, suggested by this study, this year (2025) and then hope to secure additional funding under the SSD Program to continue with the work that was recommended in the Tetra Tech study for the years that are ahead.
