Roads & Drainage

We have received funding under the Sustainable Service Delivery Lifecycle (SSD) Program to upgrade roads and drainage systems in Grise Fiord, in large part based on a study that was done by Tetra Tech in 2021.

Each spring clogged culverts mean that melting glacial water, and other snow melt, result is damaging water flows across our roads, and this can become quite severe.

The initial work, suggested by this study, was undertaken by ATCO in the 2025 season.

During this (2026) season ATCO is working to complete the remaining portion of this work, given that the required culverts have arrived on the 2026 sealift.
